Aguinaldo Municipality: 

This town is a daughter of the Municipality of Mayoyao.
It was created by Batas Pambansa Blg. 86 sponsored by then
Assemblyman Gualberto Lumauig and approved as law by then
President Ferdinand Marcos on September 20, 1980.

Since creation as a municipality, its mayors were:
1. Miguel L. Pedro - appointed
2. Atty. Marcelo G. Homecgoy - 1st elected mayor
3. Federico Juguiad Jr.
4. Delfin B. Bullan - incumbent

In January 1900, President Emilio Aguinaldo visited this place while on his way
to Palanan, Isabela. He stayed overnight at Halibhunar. This is how this town got
its name "AGUINALDO". January 7, 2002, 102 years later, Aguinaldo was again visited
by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
