Today the Muslim world is suffering from bad corruptions. The money and the power are all under the control of very few people and families (dictatorships and monarchies). It is very sad that the Muslim world is the richest in:
1- Oil, which is essential for energy and the industrial world.
2- Geography, where the Muslim countries are located in the middle of the world, which should give them the advantage to control all of the canals and routes between all seas and oceans. No ship can pass from sea to sea without passing through a Muslim country's canal. This should generate a great amount of revenue from the commercial corporations world-wide.
3- Harvesting, where most of the Muslim countries' lands are good for harvesting and growing food.
4- Metals, where the Muslim world is rich with natural resources in iron and other essential metals.
5- Even Uranium exists in a great amount of quantities in Muslim countries such as Iraq. Uranium is used for building Nuclear weapons and Peaceful Nuclear Energy. It's ironic that Nuclear super powers like England and France go to Africa to extract their Uranium, while the Muslim countries have Uranium in their lands and almost none of them is a Nuclear State.
6- High Social Morals, which are enforced by Islam. Low sexual sinning and social corruption among people's morals exist in the Muslim world. Also there are few problems with drugs and alcohol.
It is very sad that despite all of the above points, the Muslims are the poorest and the most needy people in the world. The Muslim countries today rely heavily on the Western countries' yearly financial aids to help them. Without these aids, the poverty would increase.
But why all of this?!
Well, the answer is quite simple. Simpler than what anyone philosopher or socialist might think. It is the lack of Islamic Democracy and Leadership in those countries. The Muslim world is either controlled by secular Muslims or extremely fanatic ones. Both are wrong and do not serve Islam. There are no real moderate Muslims in control. There is no real Islam that serves everyone. All we have in 90% of the Muslim countries are dictatorships supported by the Western countries especially from the American CIA for the following reasons:
1- By having dictators who are nothing but puppets for the West would enable the West to sell as much expensive weapons as possible to the "third world" Muslim and other non-Muslim countries, so they can always keep them in a poor financial situation and keep their economies as bad as possible, which would keep minimum any independence uprising from the West. This always keeps the Western Corporations and Economies very rich and growing because the third-world nations pay for it.
2- By having those dictators, it would become much easier for the Western countries to politically control them. This would create more stability for the more powerful and controlling countries to impose their products upon the people.
Let me give you a little example to shed more light upon my points above:
The Saudi Arabia Kingdom today is ruled by a family. This family controls all of the country's oil resources and revenues. They literally have 100s of billions of dollars in their Western bank accounts, while most of the Saudi citizens are very poor.
Now, let's say by some miracle from GOD Almighty, the Saudi people were able to drive out the ruling family and create a democracy where the people determine their own destinies freely. Let's say the people would then tell the United States of America "Take a hike, we won't sell you any of our oil as long as you support Israel".
Do you know what will happen next? The American F-16 and Stealth bombers will immediately blow away all of the oil fields in Saudi Arabia. Why would the US do that? It's because the dictatorship that it was supporting was defeated and now the US interests are considerably influenced by another nation. This nation might not want to sell their oil for as cheap as the US used to get it from its puppets.
That's exactly what's happening to the rest of the Muslim world.
Let's take Iraq as another example: Saddam Hussein was America's best friend and most of his weapons came from the US during the Iran-Iraq 8 years war. After he finished his war with the Iranians and decided to have a conflict with the US interests in the Persian Gulf Region, the United States was swift to beat the living hell out of Iraq in the Persian Gulf War.
The United States didn't mind Saddam Hussein being a butcher and a dictator before the Persian Gulf War to his people. The minute Saddam decided to violate the US interests, the US turned against him.
I hope you now my point clearly. The Muslim world is awfully ruled by corrupted governments.
Prophet Muhammad's Prophecy for all of this corruption:
Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him prophesized that the time will come when the Muslims will be the weakest of all nations, and all of the nations will gather against them and defeat them for as long as they are not ruled by Islam's Laws. This is true today with all of our wars with the Soviet Union (in Afghanistan and Chechneya), the Pagan Hindus (in Kashmir), and the Americans and their allies (in the Persian Gulf War, Wars with Israel, and many more bloody ones to come).
Let us look at what Prophet Muhammad said:
The following Arabic Saying (Hadith) was sent to me by brother Osama Al-Zoubi; may Allah Almighty always be pleased with him.
My translation to the above is as follows:
Hadith (Saying) from the Sunan Abu Dawud Volume, The Book of Fierce Battles - The Gathering of all the Nations against Islam.

Narrated Thauban: "The Prophet peace be upon him said: 'The nations shall gather and team up against you (i.e., Muslims) as the predators gather and team up against their preys. A questioner asked: 'Is it because of us being low in numbers at that day?' The Prophet replied: 'No, you that day shall be in great numbers, but you will be as powerless as the foam of the water on the surface of the river, and Allah shall remove any fear from your enemies toward you, and He shall put in your hearts a corruption.' A questioner asked: 'O Apostle of Allah, what is the corruption?' The Prophet replied: 'The love of life's amusements and the fear of death.' (Translation of Sunan Abu Dawud, The Book of Fierce Battles - The Gathering of all Nations against Islam, Book 37, Number 4297)"

As long as the Muslims are cowards and fear to rise up against their corrupted governments, Allah Almighty will never help them to regain their wealth and independence. As long as the Muslim fear to rise up against the evil of their infidel governments because they love life too much, they shall always be the needy people despite what Allah Almighty gave them from Wealth, Natural Resources, Beautiful Religion, Morals and Culture, and Geography, because He the Almighty said in the Noble Quran:
"Because God will never change the grace which He hath bestowed on a people until they change what is in their (own) souls: and verily God is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things). (The Noble Quran, 8:53)"

The End of Times Battles in Islam.
If the current Muslim nations are too corrupt, then Allah Almighty will change them with better ones:
Allah Almighty has no tolerance for corruption which includes sinning and hypocrisy in Islam:
"Behold, ye are those Invited to spend (Of your substance) In the Way of Allah: But among you are some That are niggardly. But any Who are niggardly are so At the expense of Their own souls. But Allah is free Of all wants, And it is ye that are needy. If ye turn back (From the Path), He will Substitute in your stead Another people; then they Would not be like you! (The Noble Quran, 47:38)"
As long as the Muslims tolerate dictatorships and hypocritical life in their countries, Allah Almighty will never be satisfied with us, and He might ultimately substitute us with other better nations who are more straight forward and sincere.
Many of the Western people are straight forward and sincere with GOD Almighty. Take the Christian missionaries for instance: They leave their high technologically advanced and comfortable life style and go to preach the Gospel in countries like in the African continent, where starvation and very undeveloped life exist there. Those missionaries give up their comfortable life in their Western countries and go live for several years aiding and assisting those needy people along with teaching them the Christian Gospel.
As Allah Almighty praised them in the Noble Quran:
"Strongest among men in enmity to the believers (Muslims) wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, 'We are Christians': because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant. (The Noble Quran, 5:82)"
Yes, they indeed have renounced the world and they are truly not arrogant! Ameen (Amen).
Imagine if those great people were Muslims instead! But as today's statistics say: Islam is the fastest growing religion in the World. It wouldn't surprise me if Allah Almighty got so fed up from the current Muslim countries that He finally decided to make Islam live its glorious times in the West instead. Only then will the Muslims live in democratic states and enjoy freedom of speech and religion for everyone and not lose their lives if they question their religion, and live a physically clean life (I am terribly sorry to say that, don't mean to offend or stereotype anyone), and treat animals with kindness (such as with the Animal Rights Groups. People go to jail if they abuse animals in the West), which is ironically what Islam teaches.
It's ironic that the Western people are living what Islam taught 1400 years ago (except for their ridiculous open sexuality, which by the way the religious people among them avoid), and the Muslims aren't living what Islam teaches!

As long as we Muslims don't change ourselves, and insist on being hypocrites, then Allah Almighty will never help to change us:
"Because God will never change the grace which He hath bestowed on a people until they change what is in their (own) souls: and verily God is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things). (The Noble Quran, 8:53)"
This is Islam that I truly love and adore. It is the complete System of GOD Almighty that has the answers for everything and every issue and every problem that people face:
"This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear God; (The Noble Quran, 2:2)"

The situation that the Muslim world is in today from dictatorships and poverty has to do with the Muslims' cowardliness to rise up against their evil governments. As long as the Muslim nations don't change their situations, then Allah Almighty will never help them and will always keep them down below everyone else as Allah Almighty in the Noble Quran and Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him in his Hadith (Saying) clearly prophesized.
