Thunder Kennels has been around since the early 1980's and has enjoyed great people, good dogs and alot of of fun since then. The first good dog we ever had was named Thunder and was the first winner from our kennel. Thus the name Thunder Kennels was established. We've been through alot of bloodlines since then and I am convinced that this line of animals is as good, if not better, than alot of the popular bloodlines out there. We started with some proven dogs, and through tough culling, and selective breeding, we have been as successful with these dogs over the years. Maybe not the best, but when you compete with the best, beat the best, why mess with the rest?

Thunder Kennels is dedicated to the preservation of the performance bred American Pit Bull Terrier. Our line of dogs has been created to compete at any level, and to be whatever you want them to be. Our dogs are made for performance, utility, family, and anything everything between. Our main stud dog over the years was "Gator" and he consistently produced high caliber dogs. Forget what you heard, that was a fact. He lived to a ripe old age a produced as well some some of the best studs out there. We specialize in our own unique Zebo/Eli strain that has produced many high caliber, performance bulldogs. Thunder Kennels offers ADBA registered dogs for performance, show, and sport utility. We stress soundness, gameness, and second place is not acceptable, in anything that we do.

Our dogs were based on these great dogs. Adams' GR CH Zebo was one of the greatest dogs of modern times. He was a 8x match winner - including a 1hour 55minute win over CH Greaser. All the dogs he defeated had won 2 matches or more when he defeated them. He also produced some excellent dogs - CH Willie, CH Ruby, CH Trapp, CH Moe, CH Albuerlitta, CH Katie and countless others. He was called by some that saw him "the greatest fighting dog ever". Then there was Stepp's GR CH Angus. Angus was a 6x winner and every dog he defeated was also a multiple winner. Included in his wins was a destructive win over Crenshaw CH Otis (6x). Yes that Otis! And Angus also beat Kummerling's CH Freddie. Freddie was a 5x winning brother to O. Stevens CH Homer. Angus beat some highly regarded dogs. CH Butch was a devastating 4x winner that lost game to Tant's CH Poncho (ROM), going for his grand championship. He beat some highly regarded dogs and dogmen such as F. Bunce and K. Gaines. Not only was he good but his siblings, Guess (2x) beat Fargo's brother, Racehorse(7x), and Suzy(2x) were also winners. And then there is Super Gnat's GR CH Ace who was also a 6x winner. His brother Buck (2x) was better then he was. Ace's longest match was only 45 minutes long, and he finished as usual. He also beat some highly regarded dogs, including CH Rocky (3x) (CH Jeep x GR CH Ms Rage) and C.W.'s RedBone. Rocky is the only dog to ever live with Ace.
