Oh, here's what that boom was: a 30 year old guy had a seizure or something and he rushed the cockpit of a passenger jet coming in from LAX. Some of the passengers trounced him.
The sounds I heard were sonic booms from the two F-16 fighter planes that were called in. They escorted the passenger plane into O'Hare (ORD).
People are starting to freak out. Or is this simply coincedence?
