The Parker Pen Company
- The Company was founded by George S. Parker in Jamesville,
Wisconsin in 1888.
- Patented the "Lucky Curve" ink feeding system in 1894. This
system provided for a more even ink flow by curving the ink feed under
the section so that the ink would flow back into the barrel.
- Introduced the "Button Filler" and the "Jack Knife"
models.
- The Duofold was introduced in 1921. They were made of hard rubber
and lacked cap bands.
- In 1923 different colors started to be introduced as well as cap bands.
A 25 year guarantee was also introduced.
- The Vacumatic was introduced in 1933. This was the first model to
carry the arrow clip, which became the identifying mark for Parker Pens.
The arrow is still used today in a modified form.
- Parker began producing several model in Britain and Canada such as
the Parkette, Challenger, and the Premiere. These pens were generally
not available in the United States. The Parkette was the only lever
filler Manufactured.
