About The TSF&CPnet

The Tri-State Fibromyalgia Network (TSFN) was established in 1996
to provide quality support group services to people with fibromyalgia and their families.

Our peer self-help and discussion group meets once a month, usually on the second Wednesday.  For most meetings, a speaker is scheduled to talk about different fibromyalgia or  chronic illness-related topics.   After the speaker has finished his or her presentation, we continue the meeting in an "open forum" format, which allows attendees to talk about their own life experiences and the different accommodations they have had to make because of FMS.

At each meeting, the group facilitators try to make available different kinds of up-to-date information on FMS and its treatment, as well as information on other important health care issues.

The TSFN can put people with fibromyalgia in touch with:

Ÿ  compassionate and knowledgeable
    professionals in different health-care fields
Ÿ  certified and/or licensed complimentary
    health-care practitioners
Ÿ  various other vital resources and
    organizations
Ÿ  other support groups in the Western
    Pennsylvania tri-state area
Ÿ  other people with FMS

While the TSFN can't be everything to everyone, we'd like to think that our group is flexible enough to meet the challenge of providing services to people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and myofascial pain syndrome (MPS), as well as fibromyalgia.

People who have any other type of chronic pain disorder, no matter what the cause, can also benefit from attending our support group and discussion meetings, since many of our scheduled speakers address various  aspects of managing chronic illnesses, and their psychological consequences.

And, as part of its mission, the TSFN also reaches out into the community to educate others about fibromyalgia and its consequences.

All-in-all, the TSFN strives to provide high-quality support group services to those who need them.   We hope that we are meeting that goal.
