VINEGAR EELS
WHAT THEY ARE: a very small worm that is about 1 mm long. This is better than feeding baby brine shrimp as these will not die off as quick (1-2 days). They swim at the surface of the tank making it easier for fry to consume them.

HOW TO RAISE: Raising them is a very simple process. Get a large jar that is very clean. I use large mayonnaise jars. You must use PURE apple cider vinegar. Add this to the jar. I have tried with a 50% water and 50% Apple cider vinegar and have found that 100% Apple cider vinegar works allot better. If you add a small piece of apple 1/2 x 1/2 inch this also helps your culture to multiply allot quicker. Keep them in a dark place at room temperature. In a few weeks you can start to feed to your fry. Now remember these are smaller than baby brine shrimp, so if you get your starter culture and it looks like there's none in there get a magnifying glass and take a good look. I will have made sure the starter culture is as full as possible with eels. DO NOT LET ANY METAL OBJECT TOUCH YOUR CULTURE IT WILL KILL THEM USE PLASTIC TOPS

HOW TO FEED: Hang a inch or two of dish scouring pad in the eels for a few hours. (Make sure the pad does not have a antibacterial agent in it.) Pull the pad out of the apple cider solution and allow it to drain back into the jar with the culture in it. Wait until it has stopped dripping and then swish it into the fry tank.
