My Name is Amber Diduck and I reside with my rabbits in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. The drive to the Washington State border is about three hours from home.
For the last twenty one years I have been raising rabbits. Fifteen of those years were and are currently being dedicated to showing and breeding to the standard of perfection as composed by the American Rabbit Breeders Association. In those years, ten breeds have passed through four different and more improved rabbitries. I have had English Angoras (10 years), American Fuzzy Lops (13 years), New Zealand, Californian, Satin, Minirex, Minilop, Giant Angoras, Jersey Woolys, and Dutch. With Great thought, my American Fuzzy Lops have been moved out to make room exclusively for Holland Lops.
I have always
admired the compact, heavy boned Holland Lops. Three years ago,
just before the Portland Convention, I decided to take the plunge.
I purchased a Blue buck (Campo's Sterling) from a tightly bred,
consistantly strong bodied line that produced dilute colours,
from a friend in Washington State.
Start up has been slow, waiting for quality related does. My herd is now beginning to grow in numbers as well as depth of quality. The patience has paid off!
I enjoy attending shows in B.C. and Washington. Show dates are limited due to college and two jobs.
To Breed and maintain a line of beautiful, quality Holland Lops that are healthy, well-tempered and that I am proud to put on the show table.
