Violence Against Women
- 911 For Women - A directory of hotlines and similar resources for domestic
violence, sexual violence, and other categories such as "Women's Health."
- Cybergrrl's Safety Net - Survivor stories, resources, links and articles to help you learn
about domestic violence and what to do about it.
- Ending Violence Against Women - an informative report by John Hopkins School of
Public Health and The Center for Health and Gender Equity (CHANGE), a research and advocacy organization that seeks to integrate concern for
gender equity and social justice into international health policy and practice.
- FGM Education and Networking Project - advocates for educating and detering the practice of
female genital mutilation.
- Female Genital Mutilation: An Islamic Perspective - thoughtful advocational
pamphlet by Dr. Imad-ad-Dean Ahmad.
- Harrassment Hotline - cyber -assisted complaint process, which provides details about sexual harassment, understanding sexual
harassment and employer protection.
- Manavi - is a community based organization for women who trace their cultural heritage to Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan,
and Sri Lanka. Manavi's goal is to increase awareness of women's rights in society and encourage social change to end all violence against them.
- MAVIA - Mothers Against Violence in America - dedicated to preventing violence by and
against young people through education, outreach and advocacy.
- Preventing Violence Against Women - a South African advocacy to help violence victims and be a space for activists, researchers
and policy-makers working to prevent violence against women to network and share information and resources.
- Rape Network - Our purpose is to reach out to those individuals who never received help, provide rape resources, educate the public
and assist the rape survivor.
- Rape Recovery Help and Information - newsletter, links to survivors pages, chat and message boards, email support and more.

Domestic violence can have atrocious effects on a woman's self-esteem, emotional stability and physical health. No woman should have to endure violence
