FAQ (frequently asked question): What's the difference between Monstervision on TNT and Mystery Science Theater 3000 (still showing in reruns @ 9am each Saturday) on the Sci-Fi channel? Monster jokes "There are 3 types of people in the world - those who are good at math and those who aren't."
Past movies have included Star Trek 1 & 2, all 3 Poltergeist movies (in a row, the same night), Back to the Future, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, The Dead Zone, Christine, and even a couple of films they also made fun of on MST3K...
Following the Monstervision movie or movies was a film that TNT considers "100% Wierd". Sometimes it has something to do with the evening's selection (2 Godzilla movies were followed by "All Monsters Attack") and sometimes not. Sometimes "100% Wierd" is just a short film about Bigfoot ... which is about 50% wierd. Or Gilligan's Island, which is just plain silly. At this time there is no host, so the only difference between Monstervision and "100% Wierd" is the video logo at the beginning of the 1st movie. Joe Bob Briggs got fired just 3 or 4 years after showing Barbarella. Go figure.
These movies continue to run on TNT, TBS, and even the Sci Fi Channel in their original form. Simply print out the host segments for the movie when it comes around and read Joe Bob's comments on each segment as you watch the movie. It's the next best thing to having Joe Bob on the couch next to you...
By the way, host of Saturday Night Live on the 14th was Al Gore, inventor of the internet Movies previously seen on Monstervision scheduled on other channels (click title for Monstervision review & host segments, if available). Times shown before 7am are considered night of previous day, so you can set your VCR before going to sleep.
Robin Hood: Men In Tights is scheduled on Comedy Central Thanksgiving week (read what Joe Bob says happened when someone wrote that Robin was gay), Buffy the Vampire Slayer is on Cinemax 11-28-02 Thanksgiving Day, in case you prefer a stake to turkey...this is the movie reviewed on Monstervision host segments, not the TV series, though Joe Bob mentions that, too - and Cinemax has Pulp Fiction (see what Joe Bob has to say about his favorite Travolta movie Thursday night @ midnight)
11/22 Friday: Comedy Central has "Ghostbusters 2" (your girlfriend lives in spook central), Encore has A Nightmare On Elm Street, Showtime has RoboCop, and Encore has previous Monstervision 100% Weird movie Omega Man, Charlton Heston's remake of Last Man On Earth with zombies instead of vampires

11/9 Sat: after you enjoy the Mystery Science Theater 3000 movie on the Sci Fi Channel @ 9am, switch over to the Oxygen Channel for Hitchcock's original The Birds (Joe Bob's in-studio guest was star Tippi H. herself on the Monstervision showing of it). HBO has "Space Cowboys" @ noon, though Joe Bob thinks Ice Pirates is a better drive-in movie, Showtime has "Tank Girl" (post-apacolyptic Lori Petty vs Malcolm McDowell), TNT has Poltergeist (they're here...)
11/8 Fri: Turner Classic Movies has the 100% Weird Julie, American Movie Classics has "The Brain That Wouldn't Die" (Mystery Science Theater 3000 movie #513) and then Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (Joe Bob just loved this artsy-fartsy version of the story), and Showtime has Phantasm sequel "Part 4:Oblivion" @ 2am
11/7 Thur: Turner Classic Movies has "Westworld" (where nothing can go wrong), TNN has "The Warriors" (1979, anyone have Joe Bob's host segments for this one?)

11/4 Monday: VH1 has former Monstervision movie Top Gun, NBC has a new remake of "Carrie" (3 hours), it's said to be faithful to the story so Monstervision review & host segments for the original "Carrie" should still be helpful. Beside, they give away the ending in the TV Guide ad for it
11/3 Sunday: Planet Of The Apes (2001 remake) is on Cinemax various times in Nov & Dec
11/1/02 Friday: FX has Big Trouble In Little China
Just in time for Halloween, it's your favorite Monstervision movie about fear and phobias...The Fear (1995) host segments, with a long cameo by former college professor Wes Craven -- of Swamp Thing and Serpent & the Rainbow fame. FX has Halloween on 10/31/02 and AMC has Halloween sequels 2, 3, 4, and 5, each shown twice It's Alive is showing somewhere in October (is that vague enough?)

Encore and Disney Channel have Beetlejuice from time to time, about the ghost with the most who's seen The Exorcist over 100 times & it just keeps getting funnier!
