What to do?

Hey it has been a hot summer, makes a change!!

Hi! I`m Chris, though you can call me Tat. I`m completely crackers but I`m gonna try and give you some information regarding the band CLEE-SHAY of which I am a member. (Sadly disbanded in 2002 for economic reasons, I will still keep site open, who knows what will happen in the future?).
UPDATE.. Jeff and Chris have formed a duo called, wait for it !! "Chris and Jeff Duo", I wonder where they got that name from !! Tommy is playing for fun with local "lads".. and still buying guitars... I am helping a local band out on drums at the moment we are called "BAND WITH NO HORSE" a strange name but we really don`t have a horse between us, also had a few studio offers..
Talk of Gordon Rowley of STRIFE fame doing the production, I`ll let you know if it happens....

Any questions? Ask Tat - click to E-mail!
Or talk to me on ICQ
My number is 84618087 Nickname Tatty.

CLEE-SHAY was formed in 1994 and is made up of four "lads" with about 110 years experience between us (I did use the term lads rather loosely). Two of us are from Chester and two of us are from Wrexham. (No rivalry here folks! - Well not much...)

Picture of the group, Cleeshay

The members of the band are:

CHRIS Keyboard/Guitar and vocals (Top left) from Wrexham
JEFF Drums and vocals (Top right) from Chester
CHRIS (TATTY) Guitar and vocals (Bottom left) from Chester
TOMMY Bass and vocals (Bottom right) from Wrexham

- WHO ARE WE? -

JEFF

AGE -Not to be mentioned
HEIGHT -High enough to reach the cymbals without leaving his stool while keeping his feet on the pedals.
EYES -Two
HAIR -Yes (Lucky sod)
LIKES -Football and the band SMOKIE. Started drumming after watching me playing in local band CONTROVERSY in the mid seventies. (I used to be a drummer, but I`m alright now). I could claim that I taught him everything he knows but he knows more than me now! Doesn't wear shoes on stage like a lot of drummers. Was a member of MISTY, SILVER SOVERIEGN, SUBWAY and along with his brother Colin (Groggs) was an original member of THE ERBEES.

CHRIS

AGE -A bit older than Jeff
HEIGHT -5ft 11 ish
EYES -Friendly.the right one keeps looking at the left one. (Not really...)
HAIR -Catching me up
LIKES -McCartney and song writing. Started playing in groups after bonking off school to play in his Dads' show band. He has a very good ear for music and the other one he uses to hold his drinks. Tends to go on stage in socks or barefooted. Played in various musical formats and was an original member of THE ERBEES. Enjoys song/music writing.

TOMMY

AGE -Older than Chris but younger than me
HEIGHT -Taller than his bass guitar ..when he`s got his cowboy hat on
EYES -Blue/Grey.the right ones blue and the.no I haven`t really looked I`ll find out sometime.
HAIR -Distinguished
LIKES -Buying lots of equipment and wearing outrageous waistcoats. Started playing lead guitar in the sixties then joined the Deeside band THE SAPPHIRES, playing bass. Wears shoes on stage... THATS WEIRD!

ME CHRIS

(TATTY)

AGE -The other side of fifty but seventeen inside (If Colins..Phil not Joan, Knopfler and Rossi can get away with it then why not I?)
HEIGHT -5ft 11¾ AND SHRINKING!
EYES -Bloodshot... no Blue
HAIR -Going, except for my pony tail (Well they say "grass doesn`t grow on a busy street") and "life is just a bowl of cherries".
WHAT THE **** DOES THAT MEAN?
LIKES -Hair, cherries (not really), cats and music. Started playing drums in 1966 with a few local bands; UNTOUCHABLES, later to become BLUE INFLUENCE; Then I joined THE ALAN KENT SET; Then in 1973 formed the band CONTROVERSY. I started playing guitar in the eighties as an original member of THE ERBEES and although I was a better drummer I have at last got out of the habit of getting my sticks caught between the strings. I Wear odd socks on gigs, sometimes barefooted on stage. Write the occasional song. Also has weird thoughts..and dreams...>

There are also several fans... no, not that kind, these are electric to keep us cool..

It has been rumoured (only rumoured mind) that we are going to use less gear...I don`t believe it though..

Our music ranges from the late fifties to the present day, from Eddie Cochran to Robbie Williams and lots of others in between. Remember "Picture of you" by Joe Brown in 1962? Well, we do it. Then there's "Things we said today" by the Beatles in 1964 or how about "Nothing at all" by Ronan Keating 1999. (A lot of people say we are at our best when we are playing nothing at all!)

When I get around to it, there will be a few mp3 files you can download that contain songs that we do on stage (you lucky people). But until then, you'll have to wait...!

Love to hear from you why not sign our Guestbook, Thanks..

No, actually I've met a few people myself, to name-drop, how about Humphery Littleton (a gentleman), Pans People (remember them?), the Tremeloes (a great group of lads), and lots more. In this business you get to perform with lots of artists, some good, some bad...

I wonder which class we're in...?
