From the wild mind that created Wayne's World comes the sexiest secret agent since Mata Hari. He's hip, he's mod and he's got a gun, baby ... Mike Myers stars in New Line Cinema's  upcoming comedy Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. By day, he's a fabulously talented high-fashion    photographer in swinging 60's London -- by night and at other times, he's an incredibly suave undercover agent for British Intelligence. He has moves no man can match and no woman can resist. Whether he's sent into the oil fields of  the Middle East, the frozen tundra of Russia, or the dark underworld of Berlin, Austin Powers never turns down a mission. In 1967, when Austin's arch nemesis, Dr. Evil, is placed in cryogenic suspended animation and launched into orbit, Austin volunteers to be shaken, stirred and put on ice until Evil resurfaces. Now, 30 years  later, the doctor has  returned to earth with a fiendish plot to hold the world hostage. Obviously there's only one man who can stop him, and he must be thawed immediately.  But are 90's ready for the likes of Austin Powers? An 8-track tape in a CD world, Austin doesn't seem to notice that the free love of the 60's is long gone. Wearing a crushed velvet suit, bell-bottoms and horn-rimmed glasses, he is a walking anachronism ready  to "shag" every groovy chick he meets -- even if they do think he's a freak. However sidetracked he may be, he literally swings into action with Agent Vanessa Kensington (Elizabeth Hurley), a straight-shooting operative and daughter of his former sidekick, who is sometimes vexed but always charmed by Austin's out-of-date sexuality, mannerisms and politics.   Austin  Powers is the ultimate 60's spy. He has the flair of Matt Helm
and really bad teeth. The film celebrates a time when freedom meant more than empty political rhetoric, and expressions of individuality, love and art flourished. Oh,  and people "shagged" a lot!

A former Russian spy selling international intelligence on the black market ... a list containing names of the top undercover agents in the world ... a corrupt agent doubling for an unknown organization ... a mysterious arms dealer ... a spy agency ready to disavow the actions or existence of any of its members captured or killed ... and one man on a mission which seems impossible ... Mention the words "Mission: Impossible" and the images immediately appear: adventure, intrigue, excitement. Along with the familiar strains of its classic theme music, the show, which ran on CBS Television in the late 1960s and early 1970s, is now a part of American popular culture. Taking the concept as its inspiration, Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner's Cruise/Wagner Productions has chosen "Mission: Impossible" as its debut feature, one that will conjure up those same elements of surprise and thrills.

Nasty, brutish and very, very tall, the rampaging Godzilla does Manhattan -- and shows a lot more personality than most of the actors in this high-tech, big-budget, dramatically inept variation on the Japanese A-bomb monster movie classic.

There are forces in the world as powerful as nations. They have the ability to declare war and the resources to carry it out. Their motives may be political, financial or personal.
