- At first, films were always called MOTION PICTURES.MOVIES were only the peolpe who worked on films. The name was given to them by the rural Hollywood citizens who saw these people moving around and messing up their peace and quiet.
- The Annual Christmas classic It's a Wonderful Life was considered a failure by, both Frank Capra and the Studio.
- Sir Winston Churchill, President Roosevelt, and Benito Mussolini, all wrote at least one screenplay(oringinal drafts) and King Edward VIII of England acted in two war dramas while he was still just a prince.
- A Yank at Oxford(1943) holds the record for the most screenwriters-31 including Herman J. Mankiewicz and F.Scott Fitzgerald. Only 8 got screen credit.
- Sherlock Holmes has been portrayed more than any other fictional character- close to 70 actors have played hime including Sam Robinson, who is black, and Reginald owen who also played Dr. Watson at one time.
- The First pornographic film was al'Ecu d'or oula bonne auberge, a french film made in 1908.
- The first film dealing with homosexuality was Richard Oswald's Anders als die Andern(Germany 1919.)
- The longest screen kiss is in Andy Warhol's movie named Kiss.Naomi Levine and Rufus Collins spend the entire 50 minutes of the film in a lip-loch.
- The most kissing was done by John Barrymore who kissed Mary Astor and Estelle Taylor a total of 127 times in 1926's Don Juan.
- The Japanese subtitles for 1955's The Rose Tatoo mistranslated the line:"he's mixed up in the numbers game" as "he plays bingo".
- In 1956 a boy in Oak Park Illionis died of "heart collapse" after watching the rocket explosion scene in The Creeping Unknown.
- Film appreciation is required in Hungarian schools.
- The Shoes Charlie Chaplin ate in 1924's The Gold Rush were made of licorice.
- Remember the 1968 classic Krakatoa, East of Java? Well they lied. Krakatoa is 200 miles west of Java.
- Ronald Reagan and Ann Sheridan were almost cast in Casablanca.

- The original Lassie starred in his first film only months after being abandoned by his owners for chasing motorcycles.
- Woody Allen plays blues Clarinet.
- George Burns left films in 1939 after Many Happy Returns then returned to films happily in 1976's The Sunshine Boys at the age of 80. That's the longest span ever of a comeback.
- The youngest performer on screen was Bal`azs Monori who was actually born on film in 1976's Kilenc Honap/Nine Months.
- The longest Oscar acceptance speech was made by Greer Garson for 1924's Mrs. Miniver. It took an hour.
- An Italian dictionary contains the word Lollabrigidian named for Gina Lollobrigidia. The definition is a landscape with PROMINENT hills.
- Shirley Temple recieved 135,000 presents for her 8th birthday.
- Edgar Bergan got a wooden oscar for creating Charlie McCarthy.
- Actor Alan Arkin wrote the "Banana Boat Song."(Dayo.Dayahayo.)
- Lionel Barrymore died while reading Macbeth aloud.
- John Wayne had a size 18" neck.

Movies PartII: We all Make Mistakes
- When the people celebrate July 4th in 1975's Jaws, there aren't any leaves on the trees.(It was filmed in May.)
- A 1936 Russian film by Mikhail Romm is called The Thirteen because it's supposed to be about 13 soliders, but there's only 12 guys in the film.
- In North By Northwest Eve Marie Saint is about to shoot Cary Grant with blanks in the cafe scene, but there's a little boy in the background who plugs his ears, not only before she takes a shot, but before she even draws the gun.(E.S.P?)
- Scene-1927's
- The Flight Commander. The hereo takes off in one plane (a moth) and lands in another(a DH50).
Born To Be Banned
- 20th Century Fox had to cut a scene of a Botticelli nude from an art film Called Birth of Venice in 1952.
- The bare breasted female centaurs in 1940's Fantasia were redrawn with floral leis covering their chest to please the censors.
- 1925's Ben-Hur was banned in China in 1930 for containing "propaganda of superstitous beliefs, namely christianity."
