And, Of Course, Titanic and The Number 14.
Ever notice how much the number 7 gets around ???
- There are 7 days in a week.

- Rome was founded on 7 hills.
- There has been a 7 Years War(1756-63), a 7 Months War(1870), a 7 Weeks War(1866), and a 7 Days Battles.
Think this is werid? Just wait till you get to the titanic 14's.

Civil War
I know this was boring in school, but some of this is pretty neat.
- Union Soliders ate Van Camp's pork`n beans and drank Borden's condensed milk.
- Confederate soliders were often illiterate farm boys who didn't know left from right, but they did know hay from straw. To teach them to march, officers put a stalk of hay in one shoe and a stalk of straw in the other and gave the marching orders as "HAY FOOT! STRAW FOOT!" instead of "LEFT, RIGHT,etc."

Yankee Doodle Went to Town...
What does macaroni mean anyway?
Actually, it meant about the same thing as cool does now.
- Yankee Doodle was written by a man in England as a goof on Americans.
- American Armies adopted the insult and marched to the song played on fife and drum.
- In 1812, two girls, ages 15 and 16, scared away a british landing party by playing the song on their fife and drum and making the enemy think an army was near.
- Yankee Doodle was the first song recorded onto a record.
And Now...The Titanic.
Two Quik Facts To Set The Stage...
- Private suites on the Titanic went for $4,350.
- John Wannamaker set up a wireless telegraph in his New York store in 1912 as a publicity stunt. On April 14th 20-year-old David Sarnoff accidently picked up a message-"SS Titanic ran into iceberg-Sinking Fast." He relayed the message and stayed at his post for 72 hours, taking names of survivors and directing ships to the area.
