biography
Studied at York
College of Arts, England. " I like to think that it's my bold use of colour that first attracts the eye to my work. My subject is often colour itself and I enjoy the process of discovery almost as much as the results themselves, always sad at the end of the voyage like passing through unknown territory. My work is often very abstract, leaving just enough freedom for the viewer to loose themselves in a new world. My last series of paintings were inspired by the effects of the elements on the earth and the sea. These works emerge from an intensely personal relationship with my environment and give more importance to style over detail, interpreting colour and space in a way that best expresses my sensitivity to my surroundings."
