Okay, I want a web site. How do I start?
- Decide on a feel to your site. (happy, upbeat, serious)
- Pick the aspects you want to cover on your site.
- Decide what you would like your site to do. (take orders, cover basic business, feedback)
- Pick a designer and discuss budget, any designer should be able to work with your budget. Just ask. Also ask for a contract estimate so there are no "over hour" charges.
- Also discuss maintaining and tech help for your site if needed. (also a designer should be able to help you maintain your site)
- Pick a web site host, your designer should be able to help you with this.
- Work with your designer to get your site ready to go live.

Charges for Web Design vary across the country. It can range from $45 up to $200 an hour for custom designing. Designs by Marnie charges $45 an hour for basic web design (which includes what you see on these pages). The number of hours a project will take varies even more than the price per hour. For a binding contract estimate please fill out the Request Estimate form. Binding contract estimate means that if you choose Designs by Marnie your cost will not be higher than the estimate given for the services outlined in the estimate. It does NOT bind you to hiring this firm. With the connections of the internet it is not necessary for you to be located near Designs by Marnie. If desired we can include a years worth of maintenance into the estimate, please note this with your request, otherwise your estimate does NOT include maintenance.
