The meaning of the fish is ambiguous. An ancient symbol of fertility and creativity,
the fish symbolizes the ocean, and evokes the mystery and beauty of large
bodies of water. The fish, or ichthus, is a traditional symbol of Christ as
"fisher of men." But a fish with legs is a symbol of Darwinian evolution.
The fish indeed has many meanings. Made from glazed red earthenware clay,
the back of this limited edition piece displays the artist's signature stamp
