As '79 progressed and Vin & John were planning the reformed band, and needing a drummer for recording and touring, the highly rated and recommended session drummer, Preston Heyman, was approached and accepted. Preston providing the drums for the 1980 LP and early part of the tour of that year. Preston's ability and performances in the studio and on the road won him many appreciative friends.


Preston's prior session committments, Kate Bush & Tom Robinson Band, amongst many, eventually took him away from the Rooster drum stool.
