The Ozark Mountains of Arkansas and Missouri

The Ozark Mountains are located primarily in Northern Arkansas and Southern Missouri. It is the largest mountain range between the Smokey Mountains and the great Rockies. The area offers a natural scenic beauty that is second to none. On clear days the mountaintop vistas allow breathtaking views of seemingly endless wilderness. Rock formations are a diverse mixture of geological wonders. Rock Climbers and Repellers find a little paradise here. Natural streams and rivers meander throughout the mountains inviting canoeing, kayaking and rafting; fishing, swimming or a place to wade and cool off from summer's heat. Wildlife enthusiasts will find plentiful viewing of Whitetail Deer, an occasional Black Bear, or see an Elk herd along the Buffalo River. Eagles are common sites around area lakes and waterways. Fishing in the Ozarks is unsurpassed and even surprising to some. The Ozarks are home to the World Record German Brown Trout, and Smallmouth fishing is excellent, too. Several magnificent lakes provide ample fishing and watersport activities. Caves and caverns are abundant making the area a spelunkers dream. Wildlife, trees and wildflowers add variety to a great backwoods hike or horseback ride. Your Ozarks experience will take you back to a simpler time. A time when people lived off the land and handcrafted their furniture and wares. Ozark people are some of the friendliest in the world, and are well known for their arts, crafts and musical skills. Antique Stores and Craft Shoppes are plentiful, too.
The natural beauty of the Ozarks invite you...Come and enjoy it.
