Bill Foreman
Yea, That's me. Scary isn't
it. But that's me - Bill, or to some people like my grand
daughter I'm simply PAP-PAW.
Now back to me. It is scary,
here I am, 50+. I look in the mirrow
and I see this old
man looking back at me. And I wonder, is this who I am?
Because I don't feel 50+. In
my mind I still see myself as a 20-25 yr old. But here I am.
So, it is scary as I see this
stranger looking back at me from my mirrow. Then I think of
all the things I've done
in my 50+ years (and that scares me too) and also of all the things
I still plan to do in
the next 50 or so years.
I guess the reason I'm writing this is
for any younger people (younger than 20-25,
remember that's my mental age) to realize how important each moment
of each day
really is. Because one of these days you, just like me, will
look in the mirrow and wonder
who that old person is that's looking back at you. Because
TIME marches on. And don't
be suprised if one of these days some one calls you PAP-PAW or MAM-MAW.
So for the only real cure to this situation
see my Religon page.
Footnote : Another great thing about being
50+ is that in this timespan of my life I have
increased my knowledge to the point that I (unlike most people whose
knowledge has developed only enough to spell a word just one way) now can
spell the the same word 5 or 6 different ways. So if you haven't
reached this level on knowledge yet, keep working at it and don't get discouraged,
with a lot of good hard work you CAN do it.
