Publications and Poetry

  While living in central Italy, Janet Butler worked with Romeo Giuli in the translation of his poetry from 1998 to 2003, and a chapbook of their work was published by Solveig Publishing, Sienna, Italy. In 2004 she decided to dedicate herself to her own creative writing. Ms. Butler has since then been published in many online and print journals and magazines, among them Ken*again, ForPoetry, Underground Voices, Carnelian, Another Toronto Quarterly, The Penwood Review, Miller's Pond, Mannequin Envy, Spiky Palm, Slow Trains, Flutter, Foliate Oak, Contemporary Rhyme, Minnetonka Review, Amarillo Bay, Big Pond Rumours, Niederngasse, The California Quarterly, Ampersand Poetry, The Rose and Thorn, Sage Trail, Locust, Literary Mary and Plainsongs. Future publications include Cutthroat 7, Lucid Rhythms, The Clearfield Review, and The 13th Warrior.

A limited edition chapbook, "Collection: Ekphrastic Poems by Robert Schuler and Janet Butler" Volume I, Number I, was published by Canvas Press, Delafield, Wisconsin, Summer, 2007. The series editor is James Gapinski. An online chapbook, "Eden Fables" was published by Language and Culture in 2007 and Shadowline, a full-length collection of poems was published by Gatto Publishing, 2007.
