"Colby, we think, was born on another planet. Then his strange alien parents rejected him and sent him to Earth, where he was adopted by his human parents, much like Superman, but without special powers. Big Brother gives anyone in the house permission to call him Kal-el. (Man, only supergeeks like me would get that joke.)
"Colby grew up on Earth, a stranger to human customs and niceties (evident in his behaviour to this day). He often creates outlandish schemes (i.e.: The Iowa Militia) which he plans to put in motion once he and Eric achieve dictatorial status. Colby lives in Eric's basement, coming up occasionally for a glass of milk or to be punched in the face by Kath. In his spare time he draws scary pictures."
