Siskiyou

It is with great sadness
that I send the news that we put Siskiyou to sleep yesterday. Her
body had grown old, her spirit was still so young.
She had multiple health issues
which finally led me to chose to put her to sleep rather than
continue searching for answers which we have done for the last year
and a half and more.
She will be missed beyond
what I can imagine.
Her last four days were
very wonderful, starting with her 12.5 birthday party on Sunday, and
thank you to all who sent her such warm wishes. We knew at that time
that she would sleep in four days for good, but she had so much fun
surrounded by all the people she loved—she was happier than I
had seen her in quite some time.
The next few days were spent
totally with her giving her as much love and comfort as was
possible. On her last day we "went for an adventure in the
truck" one of her favorite things. She is now on a grand
adventure free from age and illness.
She is buried in the back
yard, right in view from the house where I see her tree and think of
her often. She fills my heart. When the time has healed my sorrow
some I will send details of her life and health issues and reports
from the necropsy. And more fun, photos of a wonderful long life
full of love and fun.
Rest peacefully sweet
Siskiyou.
