is in a contest for a spot on New Mexico's Pet Lottery
Scratcher. To do this he needs to receive the most votes during
the voting period. So, please help us by voting for Scotty

the development of new, innovative therapies, and treatments to
fight cancer in dog. This means funding the research that will
culminate in a cure for canine cancer. The sense of urgency is
clear, yet it comes with the hope that we can reach our goal.

Willem Wijnberg, an artist from The Netherlands, has been
painting beautiful Berner items for the past 7 years and through the
fundraisers we have now raised a total of $117,423.34. The AKC CHF
matches our donations, usually with a 1 to 1 match, however for one
fundraiser we got a 3 to 1 match!
The total amount
of our matches has been $166,423.68, giving a total of $282,846.64
towards cancer research in Berners!!
THANK YOU, Willem, for making such
fantastic prizes which enabled the Berner Lovers to help fight
cancer through their donations to cancer research studies!!

the generosity of many people, we have exceeded our goal for raising
money for Mojo’s MRI. We are currently arranging for his MRI to
be done at Purdue University. Hopefully we will be able to get him
in the first part of January. We want to thank all of Mojo’s
supporters, very much! The PayPal meter says just over $2,800 but
due to several donations sent by check (one was for $800, WOW) we
have over $3,600. We will keep the site posted on Mojo’s
diagnosis"

Dawdle in her Memory! This will be our 4th year taking part. This

Khandi, Mum, Owen and myself. Yvonne Grenfell.

Berner Lovers really are a generous group
of people!! Our goal for our 2009 AKC CHF Cancer Fundraiser was

towards the establishment of a DNA and Tissue Repository. This
Repository is in the process of being established. Michigan
State Veterinary School and Hospital are the most likely
candidate to be contracted to serve as the host for the
repository. While other DNA banks exist, once again the Berner
Community will be in the forefront with an integrated approach
to diagnosis, tissue banking and research.
