      Causes

 - One of the major causes of hunger results from poverty. This can be tied to Boeing layoffs and the economy's recession because people struggle to find jobs.

 - People are given low wages and are expected to provide for an entire family. They often  cannot make the amount of money needed to supply their family with the food needed, and  therefore they go hungry.

 - Many need help because of an emergency — such as a job loss, an illness, injury, domestic violence or divorce.

 - Parents treat kids so badly that kids leave the house and become homeless. Also parents may die and children go into poverty.

 - High unemployment rates: in King County was 3.2%, it was much higher elsewhere in our  state. In Yakima County it was 8.5%, in Okanogan County, it was 9.8%, and in Grant County, it  was 11.1 %.
