Angelique Bouchard
"For I have sworn thee fair, and thought thee bright,
Who art as black as hell, as dark as night."
William Shakespeare, "Sonnet CXLVII"
Name: Angelique
Bouchard Appearance: Tumbling curly golden hair, fair skin, large blue eyes. Petite and slender, delicate posture. Skills: A powerful, long-practiced witch. Angelique was taught the art and skill of voodoo since she was a child. She is cunning, vengeful, secretive, and can think and act quickly. Personality: Angelique has a strong, womanly heart that belongs to only one man - Barnabas Collins. Her love for him over the centuries has not waned. She has been taken to the brink of jealousy, madness, and obsession. She is a complicated and intriguing being. |
Past: Angelique was
raised off the marine shores of Martinique in South
America. Her mother was executed for witchcraft when she
was a child. She was raised by her abusive, alcoholic
father. When she was a young girl, she fell in love with
Barnabas Collins. He seduced her years later, pledging
her eternal love. Then Barnabas deceived her - soon Angelique found herself a lowly maidservant to a haughty young woman, Josette du Pres, none other than Barnabass fiancee. Humiliated and heartbroken, Angelique wielded her greatest powers and transformed Barnabas into a horrifying creature of darkness - a vampire. His curse brought down the entire house of Collins, enshrouding the great mansion and its inhabitants in darkness for centuries to come. Angelique was soon hanged for witchcraft, but her spirit would rise again over the centuries to taunt the one she loved and could never forget. She comes to him now, to Collinsport, to be his personal Hell and temptress. |
