(NOTE: The actual meeting dates are December 11-12-13, 2011 (Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday). You may choose to arrive earlier and/or leave later to continue with your own Hawaiian vacation plans. The dates were selected to fall outside the official tourist season when rates would increase substantially. The courses will be presented only in the mornings of three consecutive days. All courses have been ARRT pre-approved for category A credit. There will be an opportunity to earn about eleven (11) credits of CEU’s at this seminar.
The classes will be presented just three blocks from the Kihei Kai Nani complex.... a seven minute walk, or two minute drive. They will begin at 8:00 am in the meeting room at Spices Restaurant, which is on the Maui Coast Hotel campus. The address is 2259 South Kihei Road, Kihei.
Would you be available and interested in assisting in the presentation of this workshop/seminar in any way, such as:
2. Would you be interested in participating as a group in selected off-site activities, such as:
Lodging may still be available (condo) at Kihei Kai Nani during that time frame for about $100.00 a night. A couple, or two technologists sharing a room would have a very affordable rate by splitting that cost. Contact Kihei Kai Nani for more datails at (808) 879-9088. Other lodging is available nearby.
The time period has shifted to slightly later dates in December to correspond with the lowest current airfares available through Orbitz.com. Of course, individuals may choose to fly in earlier or stay later, but the round trip airfare from Anchorage at present (April 4, 2011) is $554.00 via Alaska Airlines, from Anchorage (ANC) to Kahului, Maui (OGG) departing December 10, 2011 and returning December 15, 2011. That rate plus the relatively low room cost should make it very affordable. Registration is $140.00 for eleven (11) CEU's, as previously mentioned.
This is a workshop/seminar, so there will be no banquet, business meeting, or other expanded activities normally provided at an annual conference. The off-site activities listed above may be pursued individually apart from the group.
Although many may choose to eat out, these condos are fully equipped just like your own home, and there are familiar stores (like Safeway, or in Kahului a Costco) where you may buy groceries just as you would at home. And, of course, you would still need to buy groceries if you stayed home.
Since this is a professional continuing education activity to meet mandatory requirements for maintaining a credential required in the technologists work there may be tax incentives for attending. Each individual should consult their own financial/tax consultant to determine the extent to which this may apply to you.
