This list I am looking at right now is three pages long and I have collected it from ten different books of cards and rolls and only two or three of the entries are more than a couple of sentences long. So there are a lot of different entries that I just start with one name, I no longer recall which name but it was in the area of Mann/Miller groups. Other names in these references I have had to put all together and printed so I can study just those items run from Miller, Foster, Russell, Jones, Johnson and a few strictly Cherokee names. And most of these names are found around Oaks and are Night Hawks. Does any of that ring a bell for you ? I know they are all connected for they have gone from one entry to the other as referals to each other.

Do you reckon that perhaps Betsey Spaniard may by chance actually be one way they used for Susie Spaniard ? It seems some of these other names are always qualified and said that their mother's, mother's name was Quait-sey or Betsey Spaniard and he father was so and so. It looks to me like all of this group of names are pointing back to one common ancestor and that ancestor was Betsey Spaniard. I cannot explain what I mean in a clear way so I hope you can follow my drift. I have just now compiled all of these bits into one group as I said so have not digested them yet.

Oh, another thing. I think your grandfather R.K. Mann or Man you have is actually Robert Carey Mann but he went by the name of Carey Mann only. I have found one entry that shows his father and his children. I have things piled up so much in about a ream of paper right now on my desk so I cannot find it to put it exactly but you will eventually get all this. I just wanted to mention some of this and see if anything sounds familiar to you. Dave Mann had a middle name of Sproul. Dave Mann seems to be the popular use he had or that others used for him. He was also an Interpreter and used several times by some of the people being sworn in for the Miller, Dawes and FCT (Five Civilized Commission). Hang in there gal, we will get it right one of these days if we don't run out of time.

Talk to you later. The best to you and the family. Vj This was from Sweet Vern.

Talked to CJ Adair on 12-23-1997 Said to send file and she will help. Dawes Roll 3232 for Elzira Wilson Mann Father was William Wilson and her Mother was Peggy.
