If you love herps, and you love snakes, you've gotta love Timbers.  If I could see a timber rattlesnake everyday for the rest of my life, I'd be the happiest man alive.  Enjoy these pictures, I had a great time taking them.

 

 

Pictured above: Some of the pictures on this page are of a captive specimen legally owned by an employee of the DNR's Bureau of Endangered Resources for educational purposes.  It is absolutely illegal to for personal collectors to own this snake within Wisconsin.  Look at the picture on the upper right.  You can really see the heat sensing pit below, and to the left of the nostril.  Also, check out the picture on the bottom.  See the "arrow-shaped" head typical of venomous snakes?
