Shed Seven - Sunderland University 9/10/99

They're back! Slated by critics, Shunned by music snobs but still loved by many. Now sadly bereft of a record deal, Rick Witter and Co. ignored the doubters and proved that there's more to Shed Seven than Dolphin and Bully Boy.

True, both were featured in the set, but along with many, many more that were just as impressive.

The stops really were pulled out tonight; old favourites, album tracks from both A Maximum High and Let It Ride (the highlight of which being an excellent version of Lies), and a Disco Down encore good enough to get the most fervent music snob smiling.

The lack of a record label to call home didn't seem to bother them... and on the evidence of this performance, it shouldn't need to.

...and Mr.Music Snob, there was not a screechy voice or bum note in sight.
