On 26 August 2017, ARSA (so called Rohingyas) extremists attacked indigenous Daingnet people of Yanka Zaydi village in Muangdaw, Rakhine state. ARSA extremists murdered 5 and injured 16 Daingnet people.

ARSA terrorists murder 5 indigenous Daingnet people in Maungdaw

On 26 August 2017, ARSA (so called Rohingyas) extremists attacked indigenous Daingnet people of Yanka Zaydi village in Muangdaw, Rakhine state. ARSA extremists murdered 5 and injured 16 Daingnet people.

A group of 100 ARSA extremists from Kyung Do village attacked the indigenous Daingnet village in the early hous of 26 August, 2017. The militants used guns, sticks and knives to terrorize the indigenous people.

A Daingnet man Maung Ba Sein (28) succeeded in fleeing the encirclement and informed the security forces based in Aung Tha Pray village about the attack. The security forces rushed to the spot and finally rescued 16 Daingnet people with serious injuries.

ARSA extremists abducted a family of 5 indigenous Daingnet men, women and children and murdered them. Their dead bodies were found almost a month later in September at a mass grave.
