Baribindu Chakma
On 25 December 1986 at 6:00 a.m Bangladeshi army personnel from the Dighinala cantonment rounded up Mr. Baribindu Chakma (38) son of Mr. Jatindra Lal Chakma of Sadhok Chara, Dighinala. Bangladesh army tied his hands and then severely beat him. Bangladesh army men laid him on the ground and kicked him like a football. They hammered his fingers. He was released after 8 and 1/2 hours of torture. He took refuge in Tripura state of India.

Bangladesh army burn down indigenous Buddhist houses in Baghaichari

On 19 March 1996, at about 9:30 P.M. Lt. Ferdous and his soldiers from Kojoichari Army Camp raided New Lalyaghona village in Baghaichari, rounded up the indigenous Buddhist villagers, beat them up severely, and burnt down 7 houses. The owners of those 7 houses were

  1. Mr. Joy Kumar Chakma
  2. Mr. Kasmir Chakma
  3. Mr. Kripa Mohan Karbari
  4. Mr. Nam Gopal Chakma
  5. Mr. Ranga Choga Chakma
  6. Mr. Santanamoy Chakma
  7. Mr. Daadi Ram Chakma

Among the severely beaten victims were

  1. Mr. Junu Datta Chakma (18)
  2. Mr. Bijoy Datta Chakma (27)
  3. Mr. Shankar Chakma (35)
  4. Mr. Shyamal Mitra Chakma (22)
  5. Mr. Alomoy Chakma (23)
  6. Mr. Subhashis Chakma (18)
  7. Mr. Nibashis Chakma (18)
  8. Mr. Ram Chandra Chakma (18)
  9. Mr. Chijimuni Chakma (19)
  10. Mr. Kanan Chakma.
