On 17 February 2011; Border Guards of Bangladesh and Muslim settlers attacked the indigenous Buddhist people at Longadu leaving at least 2 indigenous people seriously injured. The aim of the attack was to drive out the indigenous Chakma Buddhists and grab their land. A Chakma couple pick up the pieces after the house was burnt down by the settlers.

Bangladesh army terrorize indigenous people in Naniachar and Lakshmichari

On 3-5 July 1994, Bangladesh army from Naniachar Military Zone led by Lt. Col. Salauddin conducted a huge military campaign in area covering Ramsuparichara, Tibirachara, Larma Para, Jaripya Para, Ghilachari and Tengachari in Naniachar, Dajyapara Hill and Durchari in Lakshmichari to attack the Shanti Bahini camps. Despite the government's promise to maintain the ceasefire, Bangladeh army invaders were the first to open fire on the Shanti Bahini camps. Then the Shanti Bahini returned fire in self defence.

On 5 July 1994, Bangladesh army also brought the Muslim settlers with them to help them in robbing and destroying indigenous people's houses and properties. For example they stole all the valuable things from the house of Mr. Nilu Kumar Chakma, son of ate Biraj Muni Chakma of Dajyapara, Naniachar. Bangladesh army and Muslim settlers destroyed all the properties of-

  1. Mr. Ramani Ranjan Chakma, son of late Paranya Chakma
  2. Mr. Jaranya Chakma, son of late Rasik Kumar Chakma
  3. Mr. Sulyachari Bap of Ramsupari Para in Naniachar
