On 2 June 2017, Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked 4 indigenous Buddhist villages in Longadu. Muslim settlers murdered an indigenous Buddhist women and burnt down more than 250 indigenous Buddhist houses.
Bangladesh army torture indigenous people in Zurochari
On 11 July 1991, Bangladesh army from Fakirachara army camp led by 2nd Leut. Mahbub arrested 2 indigenous inhabitants of the concentration camp near Fakirachara army camp in Zurochari, Rangamati district. Bangladesh army stumbled upon them during patrol in the jungle near the camp
Bangladesh army took them to the camp, interrogated them if they had any communication with the Shanti Bahini. Bangladesh army tortured them and poured water through their nostrils. The victims are:

Mr. Gopal Chandra Chakma (36), son of Mr. Brighudhar Chakma.
