Bablu and Chittipudi Chakma of Mallya Massacre
On 2 February 1992 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers killed about 30 indigenous Buddhist people at Mallya. 2 of them were Bablu Chakma and Chittipudi Chakma (6 months), son and daughter of Manek Kumar Chakma. Two bombs exploded at a river ferry at Mallya. The explosion killed a passenger and seriously injured the skipper of the ferry. The survivors swam ashore but the armed Muslim settlers were waiting for them and attacked the indigenous Chakma Buddhists - men women and children.

Bangladesh army murder 2 indigenous men in Naniachar

On 22 June 1991, Bangladesh army from Chowdury Chara Army Camp arrested and tortured an indigenous person at Chowdury Chara Army Camp in Naniachar, Rangamati district. The victim is:

  1. Mr. Tushar Kanti Chakma (30), son of Mr. Boiragya Chakma of Shikal Para, Naniachar.

When Mr. Tushar Kanti was half dead from torture and beating, Bangladesh army shot him to death. He was suspected of being member of the Shanti Bahini. In reality he was an employee of C&B.

On 27 June 1991 at night, the Shanti Bahini attacked Burighat Police Camp.

In reprisal Bangladesh army arrested an indigenous Chakma man and shot him dead on 29 June 1991. On that day he was returning home from Kuduk Chari Bazar. The victim is:

  1. Mr. Boiragya Chakma, son of Mr. Mandala Chakma of Gorhead, Burighat, Naniachar.
