Longadu people fleeing Muslim settler attack

On 2 June 2017, Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked 4 indigenous Buddhist villages in Longadu. Muslim settlers murdered an indigenous Buddhist women and burnt down more than 250 indigenous Buddhist houses.


Bangladesh army set fire on indigenous houses in Khagrachari

On 1 June 1991, Bangladesh army of 25 EBR from Jaduram Para army camp led by Capt. Ibrahim burnt down 9 houses at Phattarachara, 3 houses at Harinath Para and 9 houses at Betchari Para of Itchari Mouza in Khagrachari sub-district. Bangladesh army forced indigenous people to move to concentration camps. The victims are:

  1. Mr. Jayat Dhar Chakma (70), son of late Panchay Chakma.
  2. Mr. Prati Kumar Chakma (35), son of Mr. Jayat Dhar Chakma.
  3. Mr. Sonadhan Chakma (60), son of late Panchay Chakma.
  4. Mr. Lalit Mohan Chakma (34), son of late Ratan Dhar Chakma.
  5. Mr. Shanti Ranjan Chakma (32), son of Fakir Chandra Chakma.
  6. Mr. Bindu Chakma (38), son of Mr. Fakir Chandra Chakma.
  7. Mr. Panibukya Chakma (40), son of Mr. Karuna Mohan Chakma.
  8. Mr. Tutru Chakma (45), son of Mr. Bakul Chandra Chakma.
  9. Mr. Uruchya Chakma (28), son of Mr. Chandra Moni Chakma.
  10. Mr. Bimal Chandra Chakma (50), son of late Katya Chakma.
  11. Mr. Bashi Mohan Chakma (45), son of late Katya Chakma.
  12. Mr. Judhisthir Chakma (39), son of Mr. Narad Moni Chakma.
  13. Mr. Nayan Kumar Chakma (42), son of Mr. Santosh Chakma.
  14. Mr. Bishwajeet Chakma (33), son of Mr. Pura Dhan Chakma.
  15. Mr. Purna Mohan Chakma (65), son of late Bacharam Chakma.
