Bablu and Chittipudi Chakma of Mallya Massacre
On 2 February 1992 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers killed about 30 indigenous Buddhist people at Mallya. 2 of them were Bablu Chakma and Chittipudi Chakma (6 months), son and daughter of Manek Kumar Chakma. Two bombs exploded at a river ferry at Mallya. The explosion killed a passenger and seriously injured the skipper of the ferry. The survivors swam ashore but the armed Muslim settlers were waiting for them and attacked the indigenous Chakma Buddhists - men women and children.

Bangladesh army guns down 2 indigenous Buddhist children in Manikchari

On 12 May 1990 at night, Bangladesh army personnel from Manikchari Army Camp encircled the house of Mr. Chandu Chakma of Baraichari village in Manikchari, Khagrachari district. Bangladesh army opened fire with automatic weapons on the sleeping residents killing Mr. Chandu Chakma's son and daughter:

  1. Master Kala Chakma (10), son of Mr. Chandu Chakma
  2. Miss Milabua Chakma (5), daughter of Mr. Chandu Chakma

Bangladesh army's indiscriminate shooting seriously wounded Mr. Chandu Chakma's wife Mrs. Shanti Pudi Chakma.
