Settlers argue with Buddhist monk
In August 2007, Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers broke into the boundary of Sadhantila Buddhist Temple in Dighinala and began erecting houses inside the temple boundary. Here the settlers argue with resident Buddhist monk.

Bangladesh army set on fire indigenous Buddhist houses in Dighinala

On 25 June 1989, Bangladesh army from the army camp at DP Para led by Capt. Masud raided the indigenous Buddhist village Surya Mohan Master Para in Dighinala, Khagrachari district. Bangladesh army set on fire the houses of following victims:

  1. Mr. Ashit Ranjan Chakma, son of Mr. Chandra Mohan Chakma of Surya Mohan Master Para, Dighinala.
  2. Mr. Shanti Ranjan Chakma, son of Mr. Chandra Mohan Chakma, address as above.
  3. Mr. Pininya Chakma, son of Mr. Chandra Mohan Chakma, address as above.
  4. Mr. Dayal Banshi Chakma, a teacher, son of Mr. Chandra Mohan Chakma, address as above.
