Bangladesh army the proctector of Muslim settlers
On 22 September 2012 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked indigenous Buddhist people in Rangamati. When the indigenous people counter attacked in self defence Bangladesh army took side with the Muslim settlers. 76 indigenous people were injured and numerous indigenous properties were destroyed.

Bangladesh army rob indigenous people in Rangamati

On 12 Sept. 1988, Bangladesh army of 40 EBR from Kuduk Chari Camp, Rangamati led by Subadar Belayet launched a military operation against the indigenous people at Kuduk Chari in Rangamati. During the operation Bangladesh army robbed paddies from the indigenous inhabitants. The victims are:

  1. Mr. Laxmi Kumar Chakma (40), son of Mr. Mangal Dhan Chakma of Lower Kuduk Chari Adam, Kuduk Chari Mouza, Rangamati. Bangladesh army robbed 2 quintals of paddy from him.
  2. Mr. Harish Chandra Chakma (25), son of Mr. Surajay Chakma, address as above. Bangladesh army robbed 5 quintals of paddy from him.
  3. Mr. Sonaman Chakma (26), son of Mr. Sashi Kumar Chakma, address as above. Bangladesh army robbed 4 quintals of paddy from him.
