Ramgarh Burnt Down Temple
On 17 April 2011 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked 5 indigenous Buddhist villages in Ramgarh and 2 indigenous villages in Manikchari in Chittagong Hill Tracts. In this attack around 200 indigenous houses including 2 Buddhist temples were torched. At least 20 indigenous people were injured and at least half dozen indigenous people were missing. Indigenous people and a monk assessing the damage after Muslim settlers burnt a Buddhist temple to ashes.

Bangladesh army torture indigenous people in Dighinala

On 15 April 1988, Bangladesh army of 20 East Bengal Regiment from the army camp at Boradam, Dighinala led by Lt. Nurul Alam tortured indigenous people at Indra Muni Para in Dighinala, Khagrachari district. the victims are:

  1. Mr. Laxmi Ranjan Chakma (22), son of Mr. Satish Chandra Chakma of Indra Muni Para of Pabla Khali, Dighinala. The victim was mercilessly beaten with sticks and with sub-machine gun stock. Then his testicles were squeezed by the lieutenant during interrogation.
  2. Mr. Shanti Ranjan Chakma (30), son of Mr. Indra Kumar Chakma, address as above. Tortured as above.
  3. Mr. Sureshwar Chakma (32), son of Mr. Surenya Chakma, address as above. Tortured as above.
