Bangladesh army sponsored Muslim settlers

On 22 September 2012 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked indigenous Buddhist people in Rangamati. When the indigenous people counter attacked in self defence Bangladesh army took side with the Muslim settlers. 76 indigenous people were injured and numerous indigenous properties were destroyed.

The Muslim settlers are attacking South Kalindipur area on 22nd September.


Bangladesh army torture an indigenous person in Ramgarh

On 2 Nov. 1987, Bangladesh army of 32nd East Bengal Regiment from the army camp at Guimara led by Lt. Shahjahan arrested an indigenous person in Ramgarh, Khagrachari district. Bangladesh army subjected him to inhuman torture. The victim was kept in army custody without trial. The victim is:

  1. Mr Usha Marma (27), of Barthali, Ramgarh.
