Bangladesh army the proctector of Muslim settlers
On 22 September 2012 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked indigenous Buddhist people in Rangamati. When the indigenous people counter attacked in self defence Bangladesh army took side with the Muslim settlers. 76 indigenous people were injured and numerous indigenous properties were destroyed.

Bangladesh army rob indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Naniachar

On 15 MAY 1987, Bangladesh army of 40th EBR from Bogachari camp led by Major Jamaluddin raided indigenous Chakma Buddhists of Ramhori Para of Burighat Union in Naniachar, Rangamati district. During the raid, Bangladesh army robbed indigenous people. The victims are:

  1. Mr. Umesh Chandra Chakma (45), son of Mr. Hridoy Ranjan Chakma of Ramhori Para, Burighat Union.
  2. Mr. Sushil Chakma (35), son of Mr. Chinta Haran Chakma, address as above.
  3. Mr. Banshi Mohan Chakma (48), son of Mr. Shyam Chandra Chakma, address as above.
  4. Mr. Amara Chakma (55), son of Mr. Sinha Chakma, address as above.
  5. Mr. Punong Chan Chakma (40), son of Mr. Bobro Kumar Chakma, address as above.
  6. Mr. Nutan Chan Chakma (50), son of Mr. Bobro Kumar Chakma, address as above.
