On 2 February 1992 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers killed about 30 indigenous Buddhist people at Mallya. 2 of them were Bablu Chakma and Chittipudi Chakma (6 months), son and daughter of Manek Kumar Chakma. Two bombs exploded at a river ferry at Mallya. The explosion killed a passenger and seriously injured the skipper of the ferry. The survivors swam ashore but the armed Muslim settlers were waiting for them and attacked the indigenous Chakma Buddhists - men women and children.

Bangladesh army torture 5 indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Dighinala

On 10 December 1986, Capt. Masud of Bangladesh army from the army camp at Babuchara severely beat 5 indigenous Chakma Buddhists at Babuchara road in Dighinala, Khagrachari district. The victims are:

1. Mr. Suresh Komol Chakma (68 yrs), son of late Lakshmi Chandra Chakma of Babuchara, Dighinala.
2. Mr. Nivaron Chakma (47 yrs), son of Mr. Neel Komol Chakma, address as above.
3. Mr. Ranga Chan Chakma (58 yrs), address as above.
4. Mr. Jeetendra Chakma (52 yrs), son of Mr. Indu Kumar Chakma, address as above.
5. Mr. Naga Bihari Chakma (62 yrs), address as above.
