On 22 September 2012 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked indigenous Buddhist people in Rangamati. When the indigenous people counter attacked in self defence Bangladesh army took side with the Muslim settlers. 76 indigenous people were injured and numerous indigenous properties were destroyed. The Muslim settlers are attacking South Kalindipur area on 22nd September.

Bangladesh army torture indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Dighinala

On 30 Nov. 1986, Bangladesh army from the army camp at DP Para raided the indigenous Buddhist village DP Para in Dighinala, Khagrachari district. During the raid, Bangladesh army serverely beat the following indigenous people.

1. Mr. Sudhir Chandra Chakma (26), son of Mr. Hridoy Ranjan Chakma of DP Para, Dighinala.
2. Mr. Saga Khula Chakma (25), son of Mr. Suddha Chandra Chakma, address as above.
3. Mr. Sukro Muni Chakma (25), son of Mr. Bhuduxye Chakma, address as above.
4. Mr. Kaladhon Chakma (25), son of Mr. Romoni Mohan Chakma address as above.
5. Mr. Arjun Chakma (23), son of Mr. Narod Muni Chakma, address as above.
6. Mr. Narod Muni Chakma (53), son of Mr. Bhakta Chakma, address as above. Bangladesh army severely beat him and threatened him with a sharp knife.
