Chakma mother and victim of Teknaf
On 30 May 2012 Bangladesh police and Muslim settlers raided indigenous Buddhist villages of Howaikyong area under Teknaf in Cox’s Bazaar. In this attack 12 Chakma villagers were severely wounded. 7 Chakma villagers including 4 minors were arrested without warrant. One pregnant woman prematurely gave birth to a baby due to torture and several women were sexually harassed.

Bangladesh army torture indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Dighinala

On 29 Nov. 1986, Bangladesh army from the army camp at Boal Khali severely beat and torture indigenous Buddhist people at Boal Khali in Dighinala, Khagrachari district. The victims are:

  1. Mr. Kendojya Chakma (47), of Boal Khali, Dighinala. He was severely beaten.
  2. Mr. Uttar Moni Chakma (16), son of Mr. Protishod Chakma, Nuaram Para, Dighinala. He was severely beaten as above.
  3. Mr. Gandhi Kumar Chakma (49), of Nuaram Karbari Para, Dighinala. He was severely beaten as above.
  4. Mr. Dino Bandhu Chakma (35), son of Mr. Bhakta Chakma, address as above. He was severely beaten as above.
