Bangladesh army the proctector of Muslim settlers
On 22 September 2012 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked indigenous Buddhist people in Rangamati. When the indigenous people counter attacked in self defence Bangladesh army took side with the Muslim settlers. 76 indigenous people were injured and numerous indigenous properties were destroyed.

Bangladesh army rob and set ablaze indigenous Buddhist properties in Dighinala

On 4 Nov. 1986, Bangladesh army personncl from Dighinala Cantonment carried out a military operation against the indigenous Buddhist village Indra Moni Karbari Para (Banchara Mouza) in Dighinala, Khagrachari district. During the operation, Bangladesh army set ablaze indigenous Buddhist properties. One of the victims is:

  1. Mr. Amrita Moni Chakma of Indra Moni Karbari Para, Dighinala. His house and 3 betel leaf gardens were burnt down.

On 4 Nov. 1986, Bangladesh army personnel from Dighinala Cantonment raided the house of an indigenous Buddhist at Mura Para, (Pabla Khali Mouza) in Dighinala, Khagrachari district. During the raid, Bangladesh army robbed an indigenous Chakma Buddhist. The victim is:

  1. Mr. Sramanya Chakma of Mura Para (Pabla Khali Mouza), Dighinala. The soldiers robbed Tk. 5000.00 (five thousand taka) from him.
