Indigenous victims of Sajek Muslim attack
On 20 April 2008 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked and burnt down 76 indigenous Buddhist houses in Sajek. The aim of the attack was to drive out the indigenous Buddhist villagers and grab their land. The indigenous Chakma Buddhists and their burnt down houses after the attack.

Bangladesh army torture indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Longadu

On 25 January 1986, Bangladesh army of 30 EBR carried out a military operation at No. 5 Plantation Project Area in Longadu, Rangamati district. The army personnels beat mercilessly tortured the indigenous Buddhist people. The victims are:

  1. Dhirendra Chakma (35), son of Jola Chakma of No. 5 Plantation Project, Longadu.
  2. Ananga Mohan Chakma (25), son of Shyamoni Chakma, of No. 5 Plantation Project, Longadu.
  3. Boli Chakma (25), son of Kalya Chakma of No. 5 Plantation Project, Longadu.
  4. Bharat Chandra Chakma (35), son of Navin Mohan Chakm, of No. 5 Plantation Project, Longadu.
  5. Pratap Chandra Chakma (47), son of Petya Chakma, of No. 5 Plantation Project, Longadu.
  6. Kundo Ram Chakma (30), son of Buddhamoni Chakma of No. 5 Plantation Project, Longadu.
