On 3 April 2006, Bangladesh army and Muslim settlers attacked indigenous Buddhist people in Mahalchari of Khagrachari. Bangladesh army and Muslim settlers gang raped Ms. Thuimrajai Marma (16) daughter of Mamong Marma at Saprue Karbaripara.

Bangladesh army rape 2 indigenous women in Mohalchari

On 15 August 1985, Bangladesh Army of 26th Bengal Regiment from Thalchara Camp arrested and tortured Subahu Chakma (24), son of Biraj Mohan Chakma of Madhya Adam in Mohalchari, Khagrachari district. Bangladesh army tied him with ropes and severely beat him.

On same day, Bangladesh Army of 13th Bengal Regiment from Mohalchari Camp brutally raped 2 indigenous women at Dewan Chara in Mohalchari, Khagrachari district. The victims are:

  1. Amit Bala Chakma (28), a widow of Dewan Chara, Mohalchari.
  2. Milabua Chakma (19), wife of Jonardhon Chakma of Dewan Chara, Mohalchari. She was raped in front of her husband.
