On 3 April 2006, Bangladesh army and Muslim settlers attacked indigenous Buddhist people in Mahalchari of Khagrachari. Bangladesh army and Muslim settlers gang raped Ms. Krajaima Marma (20) daughter of Chaihla Prue Marma at Saprue Karbaripara.

Bangladesh army torture and rape indigenous Tripura Hindus in Panchari

On 9 April 1985, Bangladesh Army of 203rd Brigade from Bhaibon Chara Camp and Nal Kaba Camp launched a military operation against indigenous Hindu people of Konarai Para in Panchari, Khagrachari district. During the operation Bangladesh army tortured and raped indigenous Hindu people. The victims are:

  1. Noti Chandra Karbari (72), son of Dhana Chandra Karbari of Konarai Para, Panchari. Bangladesh army severely beat him with bamboo and wooden sticks. He became half dead. His only fault was he could not find Shanti Bahini camp for the Bangladesh Army.
  2. Ranjan Kumar Tripura (52), son of late Mohin Kumar Tripura of Konarai Para, Panchari. Bangladesh army severely beat him with bamboo and wooden sticks. His only fault was he could not find Shanti Bahini camp for the Bangladesh Army.
  3. Manohari Tripura (32), son of Pakumar Tripura of Konarai Para, Panchari. He was beaten as above.
  4. Doridra Tripura (60), son of late Satyendra Tripura of Konarai Para, Panchari. He was beaten as above.
  5. Dahar Tripura (25), son of Pola Dhar Tripura of Konarai Para, Panchari. He was beaten as above.
  6. Ramani Tripura (45), son of late Naram Tripura of Konarai Para, Panchari. He was beaten as above.
  7. Sarali Tripura (33), son of Pakumar Tripura of Konarai Para, Panchari. He was beaten to death with bamboo and wooden sticks for the reason mentioned above.
  8. Mohini Tripura (36), wife of Ramani Tripura of Konarai Para, Panchari. She was beaten with sub-machine gun butt and raped for the reason that her reply regarding the Shanti Bahini was unsatisfactory.
  9. Ratan Rakhi Tripura (38), of Konarai Para, Panchari. She was tortured and raped for the reason that she could not provide information about Shanti Bahini camps.
