Indigenous victims of Sajek Muslim attack
On 20 April 2008 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked and burnt down 76 indigenous Buddhist houses in Sajek. The aim of the attack was to drive out the indigenous Buddhist villagers and grab their land. The indigenous Chakma Buddhists and their burnt down houses after the attack.

Bangladesh army torture indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Longadu and Naniachar

On l5 January 1985, Bangladesh army of 26th Bengal Regiment from Bhaibon Chara army camp in Longadu raided indigenous Buddhists in Naniachar and Longadu in Rangamati district. During the raid Bangladesh army tortured indigenous Chakma Buddhists. The victims are:

  1. Mr. Subho Sen Chakma (40), son of Mr. Sashi Mohan Chakma of Nua Adam in Naniachar. Bangladesh army interrogated and beat him with a cane. His body was profusely bleeding.
  2. Mr. Buk Chan Chakma (21), son of Mr. Khularam Chakma of Dadi Adam in Longadu. Bangladesh army asked him where the food for the Shanti Bahini was stocked and who collected donation for them. Bangladesh army kicked him to the ground when his answer was negative.
  3. Mr. Bihar Chandra Chakma (40), son of Mr. Lal Chandra Chakma of Mohajan Para in Longadu. Bangladesh army asked him whether he had a young daughter and beat him when he replied that he had none.
  4. Mr. Anit Chandra Chakma (26), of Mohajam para in Longadu. Bangladesh army ransacked his house, and searched for gold silver and money.
